The Animal Nursery debuted as an attraction for attendees in 1982. It was promoted as an opportunity for children from families without pets to interact with animals.

Every year, the nursery hosts a variety of animals during the three-day show, all looked after by numerous dedicated volunteers.

A beloved feature of the Dubbo Show, the nursery is a highlight for visitors of all ages and is highly recommended for everyone to experience.

The Animal Nursery welcomes visitors from 9am to 6pm on Friday and Saturday during the event, and from 9am to 4pm on Sunday.
